Here are some of our ministries
Junior Christian Endevour and Youth Group
Discover a vibrant community of young hearts every Friday during term time. JCE is for those from Kindy age to Year 6 and runs from 5.30pm to 6.45pm.
Transformed Youth has food, fun, and an impacting message each Friday from 7pm to 8pm. Join us for faith-filled discussions, lasting friendships, and uplifting activities that inspire personal growth.
Sunday School
Each Sunday morning at 9.30am – 10.15am during term time we have bible school for kids and young teens. The aim is for them to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ and accept him as Lord and Saviour of their life.
Sunday Children's Service
Our Sunday morning Children’s Service is for preschool, kindy and primary school kids to learn more about God in their own space while adults are attending our Sunday Morning Service. The kids have fun during this time with interactive lessons, videos, singing, colouring and games!
Music Ministry
Experience the uplifting sounds of our Music Ministry every Sunday. Join us in harmonious worship as we blend voices and instruments to create a spiritual atmosphere that enhances our collective faith and unity within the church community.
Seniors Ministry
The Seniors Ministry warmly welcomes Seniors, aiming to cultivate encouraging connections through genuine friendship, biblical messages, and diverse activities. Our gatherings happen every second Monday during winter, and on the second and forth Mondays of summer. We feature inspirational speakers and outings, with transport arrangements for outings all taken care of.
Craft Group
Join us every Tuesday for Craft & Chat, a friendly space for creativity, conversation, and community. From 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, dive into the joy of crafting, enjoy coffee and cake, and connect with a welcoming group. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a beginner, experience the beauty of God in our lives through shared moments of devotion. Discover the joy of fellowship and creativity – we look forward to seeing you there!
Bible Study
Join us at different times during the week for enriching Bible Studies. Come together for meaningful discussions, prayer, and a deeper exploration of God’s Word. Use our contact page to ask about a study near you.
Missions Prayer Meeting
The Missions Prayer Ministry seeks to create awareness within the church family of the wider circle of Christian work around the world, and to encourage and support those who are working in missions, or being led towards missionary service in Australia or overseas.
Emmanuel Christian School
Emmanuel Christian Community School is a ministry of the Girrawheen Baptist Church. Over 40 years ago, Church members had the vision to step out in faith and establish a distinctly Christian school.
At our School we believe that every child is precious and unique with individual gifts and talents from God and born with a special purpose in life.
The Mission: To provide affordable, Christ-centred education that equips the next generation to know God and serve Him in the community.
The Vision: Changing lives through Christ-centred education.
The School Values: Community, Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, Prayer, and Service.
Our Christmas Project
Our global impact
Embrace the heartwarming legacy of our Christmas Project, a testament to the impact our church community makes globally each year.
In 2019, we partnered with the Far East Broadcasting Co., delivering radios with the Bible to regions where accessibility is a challenge, broadcasting hope and faith in 152 languages across 50 countries.
In 2020, we extended our support to brick kilns in Pakistan, empowering workers trapped in cycles of debt with hope and relief.
The following year, we sailed with Mercy Ships, contributing to their mission of providing surgical care and holistic services in Africa.
In 2022, our focus turned to Hilongos, Philippines, where we collaborated with Compassion Australia to protect children from abuse, support disaster resilience, and empower caregivers for a brighter future.
In 2023 we turned our hearts towards those suffering as a result of the conflict in Myanmar. We are partnering with Baptist World Aid in this endevour, and generous and faithful people are still giving to this cause.
Join us in the joy of giving, as we continue to illuminate lives and embody the true spirit of Christmas.
